IBE 2026 in Rimini: Buses, Shared Mobility and Test Drives on 24–26 November

IBE Intermobility Future Ways will take place on 24–26 November 2026 at the exhibition centre in Rimini, Italy. Organised by Italian Exhibition Group, the event brings together bus and coach operators, manufacturers, technology suppliers and institutional representatives to discuss the renewal of public and tourism transport.

Manufacturers and specialist exhibitors

Announced participants include Daimler Buses, IVECO BUS, MAN, Scania, Irizar, Volvo Buses, Isuzu, King Long, Otokar and VDL Bus Group, joined by Yutong and Alfabus. The exhibition features both bus manufacturers and companies involved in vehicle equipment and conversions.

The latter group includes Aveuro International, Carind, Gruppo D’Auria, Indcar, Mercus and Tremonia Mobility. The displays therefore extend beyond complete buses to specialist configurations tailored to operators’ requirements.

Buses and technology with opportunities for road testing

Key topics include fleet renewal and management, the energy transition and the digitalisation of transport services. The programme covers real-time vehicle monitoring and contactless fare payments.

Road test drives using vehicles supplied by manufacturers are planned throughout the three-day event. Professional visitors will be able to try the vehicles as drivers or experience them as passengers.

A forum connecting buses, rail and on-demand services

On 24 November, the forum will present the Future Ways 2026 report on developments in shared mobility. On 25 November, attention will turn to integration between public transport, rail, shared vehicles and on-demand services.

Discussions will address transport in underserved areas, access to mobility services and the use of data in mobility management. EIT Urban Mobility will have its own stand and representatives on the jury of the Lorenzo Cagnoni Startup Award.

RFI will discuss cooperation with regional authorities in developing intermodal transport, while Trenitalia will address rail service integration and accessibility. Nordcom will contribute to the discussion on transport poverty, with Tper and Lime bringing the perspectives of public transport and shared mobility services.

Urban mobility data and access to transport

The announced programme includes the tenth national report on shared mobility and the twentieth edition of Euromobility’s study of sustainable mobility in 50 Italian cities. The latter compares indicators covering motorisation, public transport, shared services and air quality.

A second report on transport poverty involving the Transport Poverty Lab is also planned, alongside a dedicated focus on mobility developments in China. These topics complement the technical demonstrations with evidence on access to services and changes in the organisation of public transport.
